Our Plastic Surgeons:

Because we educate mostly breast surgery, liposuction and tummy tuck patients; we require our plastic surgeons to be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, which qualifies the surgeon to perform both body and facial procedures. By choosing an American Board of Plastic Surgery certified plastic surgeon; patients are ensured the surgeon has graduated from an accredited medical school and completed at least five years of residency (usually three years of general surgery and two years of plastic surgery). An ABPS certified plastic surgeon must also practice for two years and pass written and oral examinations in plastic surgery.

There are over 5000 ABPS certified plastic surgeons, and of them only a small percentage are invited to join our plastic surgeon directory. I have personally checked the qualifications of our member surgeons. In fact, our plastic surgeons meet higher standards than those of any other referral service as we only list select plastic surgeons to be in our referral directory. Our plastic surgeons must also maintain that standard in order to remain in our surgeon directory.

About Cosmetic Surgeons:
Some refer to plastic surgeons as cosmetic surgeons; however, a plastic surgeon is what you really want. Most doctors calling themselves "cosmetic surgeons" are not true plastic surgeons and are not qualified or experienced in plastic surgery. To be sure you are seeing a "true" plastic surgeon for any body plastic surgery, such as lipo, tummy tucks and breast enhancement implant augmentation choose an American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) certified plastic surgeon.

"I had my BA on December 18th with Dr. Jones, and it went incredibly well. I had so many fears going into the surgery, but I did not experience any problems, and am extremely happy with the results. I went from an "A" cup to a normal "C," which was plenty for me. I don't remember the exact cc number, though I think it was around 350cc. I gave Dr. Jones a range and let his team use their judgment while in surgery. The size was just right for me - not too big, but not too small either. If you are interested in the breast augmentation procedure our Cosmetic Coordinator will schedule a consultation with one of our surgeons. We also recommend that you find photographs or pictures of women who have the shape and size you desire. During the initial consultation, you will also be shown several different implants and sizes to help you make an informed decision.

Dr. Sando	Affiliated with all major Indianapolis hospitals, Dr. Sando has an appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at Indiana University Medical Center. He has lectured and published widely on a variety of plastic surgery subjects, and has helped bring to Indianapolis numerous new techniques such as minimal scar breast reduction and reconstruction.  Dr. Sando is a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery, American Board of Plastic Surgery, a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery, the Burn Association and the American Cleft Palate Association. He is also a member of the American Medical Association and the Indiana Medical Association, and is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Jones	Dr. Jones is affiliated with all major Indianapolis hospitals and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at Indiana University Medical Center. He has lectured and published widely on a variety of plastic surgery topics, and has helped develop minimal scar breast reconstruction and ultrasound liposuction in Indianapolis.  Dr. Jones is a diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, as well as the American Board of Surgery. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery, the American Medical Association and the Indiana Medical Association. He is also a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Aker	Dr. Aker is a member of the teaching staff at Methodist Hospital, and has lectured and published widely on a variety of plastic surgery topics. Dr. Aker brought to Indianapolis several new techniques in cosmetic surgery including endoscopic breast enlargement, Asian eyelid surgery, and natural breast augmentation. Dr. Aker is a diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery. He is a candidate member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American Medical Association and the Indiana State Medical Association. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
