Our Plastic Surgeons:

Because we educate mostly breast surgery, liposuction and tummy tuck patients; we require our plastic surgeons to be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, which qualifies the surgeon to perform both body and facial procedures. By choosing an American Board of Plastic Surgery certified plastic surgeon; patients are ensured the surgeon has graduated from an accredited medical school and completed at least five years of residency (usually three years of general surgery and two years of plastic surgery). An ABPS certified plastic surgeon must also practice for two years and pass written and oral examinations in plastic surgery.

There are over 5000 ABPS certified plastic surgeons, and of them only a small percentage are invited to join our plastic surgeon directory. I have personally checked the qualifications of our member surgeons. In fact, our plastic surgeons meet higher standards than those of any other referral service as we only list select plastic surgeons to be in our referral directory. Our plastic surgeons must also maintain that standard in order to remain in our surgeon directory.

About Cosmetic Surgeons:
Some refer to plastic surgeons as cosmetic surgeons; however, a plastic surgeon is what you really want. Most doctors calling themselves "cosmetic surgeons" are not true plastic surgeons and are not qualified or experienced in plastic surgery. To be sure you are seeing a "true" plastic surgeon for any body plastic surgery, such as lipo, tummy tucks and breast enhancement implant augmentation choose an American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) certified plastic surgeon.

Before & After Photos

Dr. Rapaport - New York, NY

Breast Augmentation and Deformity Correction Photo Set

Surgery: Breast Augmentation & Deformity Correction
Age: 23
Breast Implant Size: 325cc Left, 360cc Right
Breast Implant Incision: under the muscle with simutaneous arealor reduction and fold release
Breast Implant Type: Saline implant under the pectorialis muscle
Photos taken 4 months post-op
Note: This woman was extremely self-conscience of her breasts. Medically, her condition is
called Tubular Breast Deformity. In this condition, the fold under the breast is very high and narrow
and the breast tissue protrudes into an enlarged areolus. Even at her 4 month
photo; her scars are barely visible; they can be expected to fade even more with time.

Breast Augmentation & Nipple Reduction Photo Set

Surgery: Breast Augmentation & Nipple Reduction
Age: 40
Breast Implant Size: 295cc Left, 300cc Right
Breast Implant Incision: under the muscle via armpit approach, as well as nipple reduction performed at the same time.
Note: Patient is a mother of four breast fed children. Complained of "empty breasts" as well as sagging nipples. The nipple scars are invisible in this case. Nipple reduction, if performed alone, can be done under local anesthesia.

Breast Revision Photo Set One

Surgery: Breast Implant Revision
Age: 32
Breast Implant Size: Replace 175cc implants with 325cc
Note: Patient seen 1.5 years after having breast augmentation elsewhere. Patient complained
of her implants being too high and her breast appearing unnatural out of clothing.

Breast Revision Photo Set Two

Surgery: Breast Implant Revision
Age: 26
Note: Patient underwent initial breast augmentation in another state with saline implants
that were placed too high. Dr. Rapaport removed the original implants and replaced them with new
saline implants in a new position for a more natural and aesthetically pleasing form.

Breast Revision Photo Set Three

Surgery: Breast Implant Revision
Age: 25
Note: Specifically, she wished for an enlargement of a prior augmentation (which was aquired elsewhere). Note the better placement of the new implants, so can be best observed by referencing the nipple positions.

Symastia Breast Implant Revision Photo Set Four

Surgery: Breast Implant Revision Symastia Correction
Age: 28
Breast Implant Placement: areolar approach
Photos taken 3 months after correction
Note: Patient has symastia (a condition in which implants are too close together
in the middle of the chest, creating a very unnatural and disturbing appearance.

Breast Revision Photo Set Five

Surgery: Breast Implant Revision
Age: 42
Note: This patient had undergone breast augmentation elsewhere via the belly button (TUBA). She is shown at right 3 years after Dr. Rapaport revised her breasts with adjustment of her folds and implant positions. Note the improved symetry, protection and preservation of the cleavage, which prior to surgery was on the verge of symastia.
