Our Plastic Surgeons:

Because we educate mostly breast surgery, liposuction and tummy tuck patients; we require our plastic surgeons to be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, which qualifies the surgeon to perform both body and facial procedures. By choosing an American Board of Plastic Surgery certified plastic surgeon; patients are ensured the surgeon has graduated from an accredited medical school and completed at least five years of residency (usually three years of general surgery and two years of plastic surgery). An ABPS certified plastic surgeon must also practice for two years and pass written and oral examinations in plastic surgery.

There are over 5000 ABPS certified plastic surgeons, and of them only a small percentage are invited to join our plastic surgeon directory. I have personally checked the qualifications of our member surgeons. In fact, our plastic surgeons meet higher standards than those of any other referral service as we only list select plastic surgeons to be in our referral directory. Our plastic surgeons must also maintain that standard in order to remain in our surgeon directory.

About Cosmetic Surgeons:
Some refer to plastic surgeons as cosmetic surgeons; however, a plastic surgeon is what you really want. Most doctors calling themselves "cosmetic surgeons" are not true plastic surgeons and are not qualified or experienced in plastic surgery. To be sure you are seeing a "true" plastic surgeon for any body plastic surgery, such as lipo, tummy tucks and breast enhancement implant augmentation choose an American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) certified plastic surgeon.

Behind Federal Way, Washington Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Stridde

Dr. Stridde received his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado in Ann Arbor with majors in Biology and Psychology. While in college he was also able to pursue his interest in photography which helped lay the foundations for his education in the art and science of Plastic Surgery. 

Dr. Stridde received his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois in 1983 where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. 

After graduation from medical school Dr. Stridde started his plastic surgery training with a fellowship at Canniesburn Hospital in Scotland, under the direction of Sir Ian McGregor, one of the early grand masters of plastic surgery. Following this fellowship he returned to serve a General Surgery internship and residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Hanover, New Hampshire, and serving as Chief Resident in 1988-89. Concurrent with his chief residency, Dr. Stridde served as an Instructor in Surgery at Dartmouth Medical School. 

Upon completion of his surgery residency Dr. Stridde next moved to a Microsurgery fellowship at Davies Medical Center in San Francisco, California. The final phase of Dr. Stridde's plastic surgery education was at the University of Washington where he completed his residency in Plastic Surgery. During his tenure at the University of Washington, Dr. Stridde received the Best Resident Paper Award from the Northwest Society of Plastic Surgeons. 

Dr. Stridde is meticulous and thorough, and has a warm yet professional demeanor which inspires patient confidence. He is a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners (#2828742), is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (#5009), and is licensed to practice medicine in the State of Washington (#27531).
