Surgery Sites Our Plastic Surgeons: Because we educate mostly breast surgery, liposuction and tummy tuck patients; we require our plastic surgeons to be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, which qualifies the surgeon to perform both body and facial procedures. By choosing an American Board of Plastic Surgery certified plastic surgeon; patients are ensured the surgeon has graduated from an accredited medical school and completed at least five years of residency (usually three years of general surgery and two years of plastic surgery). An ABPS certified plastic surgeon must also practice for two years and pass written and oral examinations in plastic surgery. There are over 5000 ABPS certified plastic surgeons, and of them only a small percentage are invited to join our plastic surgeon directory. I have personally checked the qualifications of our member surgeons. In fact, our plastic surgeons meet higher standards than those of any other referral service as we only list select plastic surgeons to be in our surgeon directory. Breast Enlargement in New York City & Connecticut
Dr. Salvatore Farruggio – or “Doctor Sal” – is a board certified Connecticut and New York plastic surgeon specializing in breast enhancement. From his New York Profiles & Contours office on 800 Fifth Avenue or his office at 605 West Avenue in Connecticut, Doctor Sal provides women seeking breast enlargement in New York City with breast implant options, as well as expert insight based upon years of experience, such as being a member of the FDA Silicone Adjunct Study.
Dr. Farruggio is licensed in New York State, as well as in New Jersey and Connecticut. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the New York Medical College, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
A graduate from the Monsignor Farrell High School on Staten Island, Dr. Farruggio later earned a Bachelor of Science/Biology degree from Villanova University, where he graduated Cum Laude. While at Villanova, he was a member of both the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society and the Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre-Medical Honor Society. Dr. Farruggio earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1988 from New York Medical College in Valhalla. During the next five years, he would go on to perform his General Surgery Residency at Westchester County Medical Center in Valhalla, and then his plastic surgery training at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Farruggio completed his plastic surgery fellowship at Lenox Hospital in New York City.
