This positive behavior will maximize and maintain the final results of your surgery.” I was motivated to become a surgeon by Captain Hawkeye Pierce, the character played by Alan Alda on the television show *MASH*. On the surface, Hawkeye was lighthearted and affable, but beneath was a compassionate, competent doctor devoted to his work. This lasting impression has stayed with me throughout my life and career. Prior to medical school, I conducted research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. There I was exposed to plastic surgeons rebuilding the bodies of people who had undergone the sometimes mutilating surgeries to cure them. I graduated at the top of my class from New York Medical College with multiple honors, including my induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. After completing my internship at USC in General Surgery, I finished my General Surgery residency training at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. I subsequently completed my Plastic Surgery residency there as well, and completed an aesthetic surgery fellowship with Baker, Stuzin, and Baker in Miami. I came back to Brown University in my final year as an Instructor in Surgery (Plastic). I currently practice in Beverly Hills, Encino, and Thousand Oaks California.
