Our Plastic Surgeons:

Because we educate mostly breast surgery, liposuction and tummy tuck patients; we require our plastic surgeons to be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, which qualifies the surgeon to perform both body and facial procedures. By choosing an American Board of Plastic Surgery certified plastic surgeon; patients are ensured the surgeon has graduated from an accredited medical school and completed at least five years of residency (usually three years of general surgery and two years of plastic surgery). An ABPS certified plastic surgeon must also practice for two years and pass written and oral examinations in plastic surgery.

There are over 5000 ABPS certified plastic surgeons, and of them only a small percentage are invited to join our plastic surgeon directory. I have personally checked the qualifications of our member surgeons. In fact, our plastic surgeons meet higher standards than those of any other referral service as we only list select plastic surgeons to be in our surgeon directory. Our plastic surgeons must also maintain that standard in order to remain in our surgeon directory.

About Cosmetic Surgeons:
Some refer to plastic surgeons as cosmetic surgeons; however, a plastic surgeon is what you really want. Most doctors calling themselves "cosmetic surgeons" are not American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) certified plastic surgeons. When considering any plastic surgery procedure of the body, such as lipo, tummy tucks and breast surgery, you can be sure your doctor is qualified, trained and experienced in plastic surgery by looking for a plastic surgeon that is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). Behind Seattle, Washington Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Haeck

Dr. Haeck has been practicing at the same location in Seattle since 1986. Prior to that, in 1980, he received his medical degree from Michigan State University, where he had also obtained his undergraduate degree. He then received his internship and surgery training at Swedish Hospital in Seattle. From there, he went on to train in Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where he studied under Dr. Frank Gerow, the co-inventor of the breast implant.

Dr. Haeck has been active in many medical societies and civic organizations. He served as President of the Washington Society of Plastic Surgeons in 1997. Prior to that, he had been a member of the executive committee for that organization since 1990.

He has served on many committees for the Washington State Medical Society, King County Medical Society and both Swedish Hospital Medical Center and Providence Hospital in downtown Seattle.

The American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons is the largest professional organization in plastic surgery. Dr. Haeck has been active in this organization for over twelve years, and currently serves important roles on key committees that help promote the safety and efficacy of plastic surgery on a national basis.

Dr. Haeck has been an advisor to the board of Healing the Children for over ten years, and has performed free reconstructive surgery on more than one hundred children from four continents.
