Our Plastic Surgeons:
Because we educate mostly breast surgery, liposuction and tummy tuck patients; we require our plastic surgeons to be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, which qualifies the surgeon to perform both body and facial procedures. By choosing an American Board of Plastic Surgery certified plastic surgeon; patients are ensured the surgeon has graduated from an accredited medical school and completed at least five years of residency (usually three years of general surgery and two years of plastic surgery). An ABPS certified plastic surgeon must also practice for two years and pass written and oral examinations in plastic surgery.
There are over 5000 ABPS certified plastic surgeons, and of them only a small percentage are invited to join our plastic surgeon directory. I have personally checked the qualifications of our member surgeons. In fact, our plastic surgeons meet higher standards than those of any other referral service as we only list select plastic surgeons to be in our referral directory. Our plastic surgeons must also maintain that standard in order to remain in our surgeon directory.

Cosmetic Surgeons:
Some refer to plastic surgeons as cosmetic surgeons; however, a plastic
surgeon is what you really want. Most doctors calling themselves "cosmetic
surgeons" are not true plastic surgeons and are not qualified or
experienced in plastic surgery. To be sure you are seeing a "true"
plastic surgeon for any body plastic surgery, such as lipo, tummy tucks
and breast enhancement implant augmentation choose an American Board of
Plastic Surgery (ABPS) certified plastic surgeon.

Meet Atlanta, Georgia Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Colgrove
Robert A. Colgrove, Jr., M.D. is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He has been a licensed Medical Doctor (MD) since 1981 and his private practice specializes in plastic, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
He is a graduate of Loma Linda University Medical School, one of the oldest medical schools in California. Upon completing medical school, Dr. Colgrove began an extensive internship and residency in general surgery at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Residency in plastic surgery was then completed at Charles F. Kettering Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.
Dr. Colgrove moved to Cobb County, Georgia in 1986 and worked to build a plastic surgery practice that would specialize in the excellence of surgical results with personal patient care.
Dr. Colgrove lectures on a regular basis to hospital groups, radio and television talk shows, business organizations, etc. He is an educator emphasizing the various aspects of plastic surgery.
Dr. Colgrove continues to hold staff privileges at the following area hospitals: Emory Hospital, Dunwoody Medical Center, WellStar Kennestone Hospital, Emory Adventist Hospital and WellStar Windy Hill Hospital. He has held the position of Chief of Plastic Surgery at three of the above hospitals.
