In the near future I am having a surgery to correct this. Which means they'll replace the old implants with news ones, which will go UNDER the muscle this time (doctor told me it should help with the rippling). I am also switching to a tear-drop shape implant (for a more natural look), and I am going a cup size larger.

My implants dropped and were very odd looking. One of them turned around inside my body so that the point of the teardrop was in my upper chest and caused a lot of pain. I've found out that apparently this is common with anatomicals in women with little or no breast tissue of their own to hold them in place. I recently had to have them removed because it became so painful and had them replaced with rounds. I'm 3 weeks post-op now. I now have 575 cc implants filled to 700cc. I am very happy with these results. RIPPLES?: yes RIPPLE COMMENTS: A major pitfall to anatomicals is that they cannot be filled tightly (I just found this out). So I had a lot of deep creases that formed over time as they settled more. HAPPY OVERALL?: no CHANGE IN NIPPLE SENSATION: Totally numb after first surgery but this is normal with a suc-q mastectomy. COMPLICATIONS: Lots of fluid build up that had to be drained after both surgeries.

I have noticed some loss of sensation in certain areas around my nipple, but this was to be expected.

COMMENTS: After two weeks, five times a day for about ten PAIN SCALE 1-6: 2-I've had worse SLEEPING TROUBLE?: no HOW SOON THE IMPLANTS SETTLED OR SOFTENED: Three months RIPPLES?: yes RIPPLE COMMENTS: On the outer edge of both implants (near my arms) you can see the ripples, and also when I bend over. The left side is less noticeable. My PS wants to see me in June to try and correct this if it hasn't corrected itself. HAPPY OVERALL?: yes CHANGE IN NIPPLE SENSATION: I hope it's not permanent. They change daily. It is hard to describe. They are numb in certain places, and super sensitive in others.

Doctor & I agreed 800 CC would be more to my liking. COMPLICATIONS: Had a lot of complications after the first surgery (500 CC) None after this surgery.

I wanted smooth implants and that is one reason I chose the round. BRAND: Mentor MUSCLE: Under HAPPY WITH PLACEMENT?: Yes BRUISED?: yes STRETCH MARKS?: no TYPE: Smooth MASSAGE?: yes MASSAGE COMMENTS: I started massaging at 2 days post. PAIN SCALE 1-6: 2-I've had worse SLEEPING TROUBLE?: no HOW SOON THE IMPLANTS SETTLED OR SOFTENED: I took Polaroid pictures every week and could see the changes. (I recommend doing this!) Weekly I could tell how they were softening up. By 2 months post they felt great, now at 3 months, they are even better. RIPPLES?: no RIPPLE COMMENTS: I can barely feel rippling on the sides of each breast. But it is not noticeable. My husband can feel it, but Not until I pointed it out. HAPPY OVERALL?: yes CHANGE IN NIPPLE SENSATION: Nipple sensation is normal, however I do have some numbness still, on the inside of each breast. Not bothersome to me though.
