pain afterward. I was prepared for the very worst, and it still knocked
me off my feet. Complication with nerve leading to left arm. It is uncomfortable
to put deodorant on, etc.

WORST PART OF SURGERY/COMPLICATIONS: The only complications for me was
that after recovery my blood pressure dropped considerably. When it
came back up again I was given pain medication to easy my discomfort.
I was given a local and I did not have any troubles with it at all.
Once I recovered I called a taxi and came home. I spent the weekend
alone at home recovering. It was difficult getting in and out of bed
but I soon found a way to accommodate myself. I am completely happy
with the results!

tuck and some liposuction. I couldn't even feel the pain from the augmentation
The tummy tuck was much worse! I have had 3 children, and I couldn't
get rid of a little excess pouch. I decided to have it done at the same
time. The plastic surgeon told me that pain from one area (the most painful)
will take over and block pain from the other areas. He was right. The
augmentation was a breeze!!! I did go over the muscle to get a little
"lift". I am still bruised from the lipo, but I love how I look! It
was worth it.

was anticipating the surgery. The next worst part was the bruising.
The surgery itself wasn't that painful. I did this for me and I would
do it again in a heartbeat! It has changed my whole attitude towards
myself. I think attitude helps deal with the pain. Go in with a good
attitude and the pain is insignificant.

don't know!). my "friends" became really negative and jealous after
I got them.

WORST PART OF SURGERY/COMPLICATIONS: The uneven swelling afterwards.
My right breast is already going down, but the left seems to keep getting
bigger. Yikes!! Maybe my left breast just looks that way, but I don't
think so. I do have a comment about the pain. I read all I could on
this surgery and this particular site from beginning to end, it was
very helpful. Anyway, after reading the comments, I was expecting the
worst pain I've ever felt. Didn't happen. I think anyone who is reading
this should take a serious look at themselves and evaluate your own
tolerance to pain. I don't mean headache pain, I'm a huge baby about
that, but real pain like a clogged milk duct while nursing or even trying
to dry up after nursing, this didn't seem to be as bad as that. I have
three children and the hardest part was teaching my baby that I couldn't
pick her up. That was hard!!! Anyway don't expect a huge amount of pain,
if you have a fairly strong tolerance for pain and for cripes sakes
don't decide not to do this because of the pain. It's the best thing
you could do for yourself if you have a little boob complex (I resemble
that comment).

beginning at 5 am the morning after surgery and continuing until after
noon. That made the pain awful and very intense - I couldn't take the
pain meds. I couldn't sleep that night nor the next day. If you have
a troublesome stomach - get something ahead of time.

of time worrying about possible complications, esp. capsular contracture
and inability for effective mammogram results with over the muscle implants.
Also I was nauseated post op, but after that was relieved the pain was
surprisingly very tolerable. I also had a mini mastopexy and have good
results with no notable scarring

very well. I had done quite a bit of research before the surgery and
set my mind to thinking that I could handle the pain and it wouldn't
be unbearable. Probably the worst part, or something for which I wasn't
prepared, was the fact that it would be difficult to pull my pants down
and up. This only lasted a couple days. If I had it to do over again,
I would have gone smaller - my husband doesn't agree - he loves the
results. I was afraid of going to small, so probably tried to overcompensate.
It isn't bad, but I wasn't trying to get to a D cup.

for round instead.One said that anatomical show capsular contracture
more than round and another plastic surgeon told me that under the muscle puts
pressure on all sides, making it appear round anyway. I heard this is
not true.But the other reason convinced me because I am so small.

and the anatomical shape is not used very often here. I've heard stories
about the implants turning upside down! Although I think that if you
want this shape you can get it. I choose for silicon implants because
they had the most natural feel (I didn't have much breast tissue) and
my surgeon recommended them.

implants). It turned out to be a bruise which disappeared within 2 days.

shaking violently from being cold; sleeping sitting up for the first
couple of weeks; the extreme sensitivity to anything (clothing-wise)
touching them or the incisions in my underarms. The sensitivity situation
has MUCH improved over the past 2 weeks. However, I have numbness in
my right armpit, left nipple, and lower halves of both boobs. plastic surgeon
says this will probably return to normal over next 6 months to a year,
but then again, there are no guarantees. I am SO glad I had this done;
would never have done it if Trilucents hadn't come along. They are very
good-looking (my husband is ecstatic) and started "falling" at the 4-week
point. They always felt soft, but now are even more so. Only thing I
would change is I'd have gone BIGGER, probably 360-390ccs. I'm happy
with the volume to the sides and below, but wanted more "projection."

CHANGES IN NIPPLE SENSATION: too much sensation but gets better daily. however, they hurt just as bad before implants around my period so I will update you again.
WORST PART OF SURGERY: big, swollen, tight breasts for a week or so. Now much better.
Has anyone made any negative remarks to you about your surgery?: nobody would dare! all friends love them. Boyfriend loves them too.
COMMENT: nipple incision is disappearing so fast, its weird. They still feel heavy,though. Bruising was minimal and I healed very fast.

CHANGES IN NIPPLE SENSATION: No, and I was so excited. I've had implants 15 years ago (sailine) and lost all sensation. I had just gotten the sensation back and both of my other implants were ruptured. I had no choice but to go to different implants. And the day of surgery I still had nipple sensation
WORST PART OF SURGERY: The pain afterwards.
Has anyone made any negative remarks to you about your surgery?: I have only told maybe 4 people and nothing negative was said
COMMENT: Everyone has different tolerances to pain. And you can't go by the ccs. You could have a B cup and then have only 300ccs and be a D cup after. My doc suggested going out and getting different size bras of what I though I might want to be and filling up a baggie with water and placing it in the bra until I got the size I wanted. Then tell him how many ounces so that he could convert it to ccs. I had 17 ounces which is 450 ccs. Just make sure you are doing it for yourself. To make you happy and get the size you want the first time! I didn't, I'll have to see about these after swelling goes down.

WORST PART OF SURGERY: The pain the first day. Not being able to be with my kids.
Has anyone made any negative remarks to you about your surgery?: My mother and father. They think that it was a selfish thing for me to do because of the risks involved with the anathestic, what if I died on the table!!! Most people are supportive, especially my husband.
COMMENT: I will know more about how I feel about them in a few weeks. Right now all I know is that they hurt. They look to big, but I know I am still quite swollen. Boy, my waist looks skinny. I think I'll be very happy once the pain and swelling subsides.

CHANGES IN NIPPLE SENSATION: Oversensitivity; experienced bursts of "chills" throughout the day, caused by the reaction of my breasts rubbing against my bra.
WORST PART OF SURGERY: Post-op. It felt like a large child was sitting on my chest, and wouldn't get off! I had to wear an ace bandage above my implants for the first week (to help in "pushing them down"), and because of the pressure it caused, it was extremely uncomfortable. Although the stories from other women helped me prepare for the surgery, the actual pain associated with the recovery was quite intense. Not being able to use my arms for the first week, took some time to get used to. However, it does get easier as each day passes.
Has anyone made any negative remarks to you about your surgery?: No, and I wouldn't care if they did. I choose to do this procedure for me, and no one else! Note; my boyfriend (who is a general surgeon), thought I didn't need this procedure, however, he really likes the results and actually wants my plastic surgeon to perform on his patients after mastectomy's.
COMMENT: Sleeping was rough, especially the first week. I found that sleeping on the couch with my pillows was easier for me to get up from than my bed. ~Out of all the research I've done on the web, this site has been very resourceful. The implant survey helped me prepare for pre and post surgery.~ Thanks!

CHANGES IN NIPPLE SENSATION: After 2-1/2 months I still do not have nipple sensation - it is getting better, but not as quickly as I had hoped! Does anyone know how long this can last?
WORST PART OF SURGERY: Worst part of surgery was waking up on table with a sharp pain on my right side when the Doc was cutting me .... Ouch! It was scary, but luckily I fell right back to sleep ..... the heavy medication I guess.
Has anyone made any negative remarks to you about your surgery?: No negative remarks. If anything I hear that I look happy - and that probably does more for someone than the actual procedure (although I am sure that is why I LOOK happier now!).
COMMENT: I am so thankful for this site! I found it about a week before my surgery and it made the whole experience much easier. It gave me more of an idea of what to expect, and that really helped! Thank you!
